    In rhet. lang., clearness, perspicuity; used by Cicero along with perspicuitas, as a transl. of ἐνάργεια. Cic. Ac. 2, 6, 17; cf. Quint. 6, 2, 32; 4, 2, 63; 9, 2, 40.
  2. II. A proof: magna suae ostensionis, of his own manifestation, Vulg. 2 Macc. 3, 24.
