ānŭlāris, e, adj. [anulus], relating to a signet-ring; hence, anulare (sc. genus coloris), a white color prepared from chalk, mixed with glass beads, such as were worn in rings, Plin. 35, 6, 30, § 48. Cf. anularius.

ānŭlārĭus, a, um, adj. [anulus], of or pertaining to a signet-ring: creta = anulare (v. anularis), Vitr. 7, 14: * Scalae anulariae, a place in Rome, in the eighth district (the origin of the name is unknown), Suet. Aug. 72.
