hărĭŏlus (ar-), i, m., and harĭŏla, ae, f. [Sanscr. hira, entrails; Gr. χορδή, χολάδες; cf. haruspex], a soothsayer, prophet, prophetess (= augur, auspex, haruspex, extispex).
