Fērōnĭa, ae, f. [a Sabine word; cf. Varr. L. L. 5, § 74 Müll.], an old Italian deity related to Tellus, the patroness of freedmen: several groves were dedicated to her, in which, on the festivals of the goddess, great markets were held; in later times identified with Juno, Liv. 1, 30, 5; 22, 1; 26, 11; Verg.
