  2. II. In a bad sense, pompous language, magniloquence, boasting (perh. not ante-Aug.): quā auditā re, principem legationis, cujus magniloquentiam vix curia paulo ante ceperat, corruisse, Liv. 44, 15, 2: vestra, Gell. 1, 2, 6: adulatorum, Amm. 16, 12, 69.
