Cătăcĕcaumĕnē, ēs, f., = Κατακεκαυμένη (scorched), a region of Mysia or Mœonia, scorched by the sun, but abounding in vines.
Hence, Cătăcĕcaumĕ-nītes, ae, m., = Κατακεκαυμενίτης (sc. οἶνος), the wine of this region, Vitr. 8, 3, 12; Plin. 14, 7, 9, § 75; cf. Vitr. 2, 6.
