  1. I. He who bears, brings, places together, a contributor, etc. (ante- and post-class.): symbolarum, Plaut. Curc. 4, 1, 13.
    Trop.: salutis, Fulg. Myth. 1, 1; also, one who pays a voluntary contribution to the state, Cod. Th. 7, 6, 5.
  2. II. One who compares, a comparer: et disputator, Aug. Ep. 147.
