Pimplēis (Piplēis), ĭdis and ĭdos, adj. f., = Πιμπληϊς, of or belonging to Pimpla (a place and fountain in Pieria sacred to the Muses, now Litokhoro), Pimplean; hence, as subst.,

  1. I. The territory around Pimpla: si riguam laetis recolis Pimpleida Musis, i. e. if you devote yourself to the Muses, compose poetry, Aus. Ep. 14, 9.
